partnership

our

model

We partner with our clients. Our experienced team of consultants offers specialized consulting, facilitation, and anti-racist strategy for business, educational, religious, non-profit, and government institutions.

We work with institutions seeking to become racially inclusive organizations by embedding ARAO policies and practices into their mission and operations.

Together we uncover patterns within the organization that offer openings or barriers to the organization becoming more racially inclusive.

Client Services

After conducting an initial assessment, we will recommend a tailored plan selected from following offerings:

  • 4-6 90min Sessions

Thought Partnership is a shorter consulting engagement recommended for organizations new to anti-racism/anti-oppression (ARAO) work as well as organizations that have a particular need or concern or are at an inflection point in which they are not clear on next steps.

  • This participatory workshop provides tools for constructive conversations about race, a glimpse of U.S. racial history, self-reflection, and instruction on basic concepts for understanding how racism operates in contemporary society and, most importantly, how it is reflected in US institutions. BRJA customizes the workshop for each cohort.

  • Our Deconstruction workshops provide a deeper foundation for industry practitioners to understand the historical development of their field and the ways in which racialized and other biases and “race-neutral” policies and practices have contributed to current problems. Having these deeper understandings takes this work from generic theory to specific understanding, affording specific opportunities for developing industry- and organization-specific solutions.

  • BRJA’s consulting emphasizes organizational development (OD) using an anti-racism/anti-oppression (ARAO) analysis. BRJA consultants work in partnership with institutions to examine and align policies, practices, and culture with ARAO principles and to assist them on their journey of becoming more racially inclusive institutions. The journey is both an interior exploration that illuminates decisions and choices impacting our workforce and society AND an accompanying examination of organizational policies, process, and culture — with next steps surfacing from these processes.

  • BRJA offers Executive Coaching agreements to fit your needs - which might be a single-session consultation about a thorny issue that's come up, or ongoing, regularly scheduled sessions. All coaching is conducted in alignment with BRJA's Anti-Racism/Anti-Oppression (ARAO) analysis, which emphasizes transformational institutional and societal change.

  • BRJA offers assessment services to organizations as part of consulting packages. Utilizing survey, interview, focus groups, and/or policy and materials review, BRJA uses both quantitative and qualitative methodologies to provide feedback and recommendations through an ARAO analysis. Depth, breadth, and methods of assessments are tailored to organizational needs and budgets.

BRJA meets organizations where they are, working within your budget to deliver impactful results. Engagements start at $5,000 for client work, with Executive Coaching potentially costing less based on your goals and session frequency.

Prospective clients complete BRJA’s Client Questionnaire to provide our team with an overview of the organization and what you hope to accomplish by partnering with us.

Let’s Get Started

#1 Submit Questionnaire

Our team will review the questionnaire and and set up an hour-long initial virtual meeting to determine if BRJA’s services are a fit for the client at this time.

These meetings focus on organizational goals to better understand the organization in order to propose a body of work to address its needs.

#2 In-Take Meeting

If both BRJA and the prospective client agree, BRJA will provide a detailed proposal of work with a quote reflective of the goals and time parameters.

If the client wants to proceed BRJA will prepare a contract for signature by the client and our fiscal sponsor.  Once the contract is fully executed, we will begin to schedule work.
